Description of the tour

  The Catalans especially revere their historical, cultural and religious heritage. In this tour, we decided to introduce you to some of the most famous monasteries in Catalonia.

  We have selected for you geographically located in different parts of Catalonia facilities for visits, so that you can see and appreciate and evaluate the nature of this amazing country. his tour is not just about religion - the program includes visits to several museums located on the territory of the monastery. And of course the prime beauty - the pearl of the Mediterranean - Barcelona!

Day 1

  Arrival. Meeting at the airport and transfer to the hotel, settling. Introduction to the organizer and guide who will accompany and attend you throughout your stay. Free time.

Day 2

  Excursion to Montserrat - Benedictine Monastery, the main spiritual and religious center of Catalonia. Monastery built in the ninth century. Located at an altitude of 750 meters above sea level, this amazing monastery fascinates with it’s unique atmosphere.

  The main spiritual value of the Monastery deservedly considered the "Black Madonna" - a statue of Our Lady of the twelfth century with the baby in her arms.

  You can also listen the unique and renowned children's choir of the Basilica of the monastery.

  At territory of the monastery there is a museum with works by El Greco, Caravaggio, Monet, Degas, Dali, Picasso and others.

  Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 3

   Tour to Petralbes Monastery and sightseeing of Barcelona with stops and entry in the Sagrada Familia.

  Petralbes Monastery - the pearl of the Catalan Gothic. The main attraction of the monastery museum collection, the largest collection of works of art. It covers a period of six centuries. 

  City of Barcelona...the city to fall in love with at the first sight...You will definitely want to come back again!

  Sagrada Familia - the main attraction of Barcelona. The unique example in the history of architecture, as unfinished piece of art, wich obtain such a tremendous international fame.

  The church is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

  Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4

  Tour to San Miguel del Fai - harmonious ensemble created by nature and man.

  Experts say that it is the only monastery in Catalonia, carved into the rock, known as the cave monastery. The majestic rock canyons, beautiful waterfalls, caves with fantastic stalactites and stalagmites will not leave you indifferent.

  San Pedro de Caceres - another fusion of medieval architecture with nature. Labyrinths of narrow passages leading from the spacious rooms in a series of buildings for various purposes, stood out from the dark, outlines of niches, stone staircases, beautiful patio, sounds of the Ter river and surrounding green hills...

  Domestic buildings and a museum with real objects of the monastic life, to help learn more about the daily life of the monks.

  Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 5

  Excursion to the monastery of San Pere de Rodas - it has more than a thousand years history, and although it's not the best way renovated, the main monastery church is the obligatory place to visit if you want something to seriously understand about Catalonia. The monastery belongs to the list of national heritage monuments. Officially established in the 943rd year.

  Empuriabrava lies on the way back to the hotel. This little Venice of the Costa Brava. You will have the unique opportunity to ride on a boat on the canals of the city.

  Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 6

  Depending on departure. Possibly free time. Airport transfer. Departure.
